Sarusawa-ike Pond & Nara Park
\Sarusawa-ike Pond is a manmade pond created in the year 749, and is a place where Kofukuji Temple could perform Hojoe rituals. The pond has a circumference of only 360 meters but has beautiful willows planted along it. Though it is a small pond, the reflection of the five-storied pagoda of Kofukuji Temple on the water’s surface (called Sarusawa-ikezuki, Moon of Sarusawa-ike Pond)
is said to be one of the top landscape scenes in the area.
Nara Park holds the cultural National Museum, Shosoin, and is an unprecedented historical park of natural beauty and lush greenery. A big attraction of Nara Park are the deer that roam freely in the park. The deer that live in Nara Park have been considered sacred from ancient times. Though the deer are used to people, they are wild animals that have not been bred. The ‘Nara Deer’ have been designated as a national natural monument.
Tōdai-ji (東大寺, Eastern Great Temple)is a Buddhist temple complex, that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, located in the city of Nara, Japan. You can see Todai-ji Temple when you go inward along the path of Deer Park. Its Great Buddha Hall (大仏殿 Daibutsuden), houses the world’s largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese as Daibutsu (大仏). The temple also serves as the Japanese headquarters of the Kegon school of Buddhism. The temple is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site as one of the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara”, together with seven other sites including temples, shrines and places in the city of Nara. Deer, regarded as messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion, roam the grounds freely.
Dotonbori (Free sightseeing – Osaka City Tour Free)
Dotonbori is a large scale downtown along the south bank of the Dotonbori-gawa Canal. Osaka is known as the gastronomists’ town, and thus the entire area of Dotonbori is thronged with an unbelievable number of restaurants and amusement facilities, and is dearly loved by the Osakaites.
There are promenades on both sides of the Dotonbori-gawa Canal to offer better environment for a downtown, which are always attracting visitors and residents. The entire sides of buildings are decorated with neon lamps. The illuminated signboards and neon lamps reflect on the Dotonbori-gawa Canal at night, making Dotonbori even merrier.
There is the Hozen-ji Temple built in the 17th century on the first street to the south of street along the Dotonbori Canal. A paper lantern hangs at the front of the temple, which gives off pale orange light at sunset. beautiful latticework stand side by side as a reminiscence of the Edo Period in the 17th century and they give off peaceful atmosphere.
Amerikamura(Free sightseeing – Osaka City Tour Free)
In Osaka there is area commonly known as “Amerikamura”—American Village—in the Nishi-shinsaibashi area. Amerikamura is regarded as a trendsetting area and sometimes referred to as “Harajuku in the West” or “Shibuya in the West.” Apparel stores, restaurants, music-related shops for the youth are concentrated in the area from Shimizumachisuji to Hachimansuji centering on Mitsu Park (commonly known as Sankaku Park). “Shinsaibashi BIG STEP” is the largest complex in Amerikamura. If you walk towards Midosuji, you will find Shinsaibashi OPA, a fashion building (a building containing apparel-related stores) and a Daimaru Department Store.
Umeda Sky Building(Optional sightseeing – Osaka night view tour)
The Umeda Sky Building is a pair of skyscrapers connected in midair. The names of the two are the “Tower East” and “Tower West” which both are 173 meters tall with 40 floors. The building, located in Shin-Umeda City, is a land mark of Osaka and at the very top of it there is a floating garden observatory that enables visitors to look at Osaka from any angle. and the opening hours may change depending on the season and events like New Year and Christmas.

Kitano Ijinkan (No inclusive entrance fee – Available at ticket office)
It is also designated as a preservation area for traditional buildings. It is said that there are 34 a Western-style house that retain their appearance more than 100 years ago and tell the history of Kitano. As you climb up and down the alley of exotic atmosphere, you will find charming cafes and bakeries that stimulate your sense of smell.
If you walk through Kitano Square, you can see the house of the weather vane and the green house with the houses of the late 19th century preserved.

The north is connected with the Motomachi Shopping Street. Most stores in Nankinmachi are restaurants and food businesses that serve light meals. Some stores sell dim sum, snacks, steamed meat buns, etc. in front of their stores. You can enjoy trying out the variety of foods in the stores. There also are stores that handle cooking ingredients, sundries, and hotels. Nankinmachi becomes quite busy with local people who come to do shopping as well as tourists on holidays.
Meriken Park & Kobe Port
It is a spacious park made by reclaiming the southern coast of the Kobe Port and is enjoyed by locals who want to relax and have a date. On weekends, events such as the performance flea market are held to provide fun attractions. It is a symbol of Kobe port history throughout the park.
Various pieces are installed. On the green grass is a statue symbolizing the history of immigration in Japan since the end of the 19th century. You can also see a life-size restoration model of the Santa Maria, which Columbus was riding at the time of the New World exploration.
Many shops at umie MOSAIC sell fashion items, accessories, and character goods, and the place
is busy with shoppers. There are also some stalls for accessories and straps for mobile phone within the complex where you can purchase inexpensive products. As there are restaurants and cafes, you can enjoy lunch or dinner as well as shopping there. Some cars of ferris wheel are regular Mosaic gondolas and others are Dokin’s Heart Café Gondolas (Dokin is one of the characters of Anpanman) for kids, so both adult and child can have fun.
Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
It is a shrine for foxes and is well known as a filming location for memories of movie geisha.
There are fountains throughout the shrine, and there is a water fountain to wash their hands at the shrine entrance, which is more prominent and impressive in red color.
You can purchase sculptures, statues and souvenirs of foxes, and you can enjoy a different experience because you can see a godly but cute figure.
Sannen-zaka & Ninen-zaka street
